This week we did some shopping at Staples and I noticed a special customer contest on my store receipt.

If you have shopped at a Staples Location lately, you may have a receipt that

is asking you to take part in a customer survey.

In addition, if you use the Staples copy, fax or print services you may also be able to take part in a survey contest, found at

Staples simply want to know how satisfied you were with prices, the service you received and products found.

How does the survey work?

Keep your recent Staples store receipt and go to the web page, where you can complete your feedback in either ENGLISH or FRENCH. Choose your language and click submit. Next, you will be asked for the reason of your latest visit.

You may select either:

  1. Retail items (office supplies, Printers, Stationary, Electronics) or
  2. Copy and Print (Photocopies, Business cards, Bindings etc.)

After you chose your answer you will need to enter the Survey Access Code, which can be found at the bottom of your receipt (view the image on the Survey above).

Enter the survey code at or and start the survey.

I have taken it recently, and it took me about 15 minutes to complete. Once your Survey has been successfully submitted, you will receive one entry into the Sweepstakes draw for the current monthly contest period.

Give your Honest Opinion!

I have been asked by readers if they should leave a positive rating to increase their chance of winning?
The rules clearly state that Staples is looking for your honest rating! So whether your experience was good or bad does not influence your chance of winning.

  2. Today, I was at the STAPLES ( Beacon Hill ) in Calgary to purchase a pkg . of Sheet Protectors.
    As it happened, this store did not stock the item (small store). The clerk spent the time to
    locate other stores, with consideration for distance that I would have to travel and looked up the
    product info. for me; all of this without my having to request her doing so; and she was very
    pleasant throughout.
    The clerk is ‘ MORGAN.’

  7. Our Staples in Red Deer Alberta, both stores, are staffed by excellent people, who are able to talk to older people in a most respectful way, so that I can understand. One was using words that I knew I could not understand, so he printed it on a paper and I showed my son. It was not the problem, but I was most impressed that he did not try to explain it to me – I know my limitations when it comes to technology. (I do know how to use a cell phone and take pictures). WE LOVE BOTH OUR STAPLES.

  8. Called store # 106 for particular item, talked to Harvey he stated had item in stock, met Harry at store very friendly, knew his products, very helpful. Purchased 2 items, had to call Harry for assistance in hooking up item with TV. Again very helpful, everything is working. I will deal with Harry in the further, he is an asset to the Staples store.

  12. WOW are you for real all I have is problems with the computer I bought there a 10 months ago will not be back to this store every thing needs to go to Vancouver to be fix and at this time and the problem with the viruses I need a place that wants to keep their customers

  13. Yesterday I spent my afternoon looking for a new computer. I went to Costco, Best Buy, London Drugs and Staples. So I am indeed able to make a very qualified comparison on the service I received.

    I was most impressed by the technology services specialist, SEAN HURST, at the Kelowna Staples store.

    He gave me exemplary service that one expects but seldom receives in today’s marketplace.

    He listened to me when I explained my current dilemma as my current computer is an XP office, and has finally met with its demise.

    He showed me several computer options to consider and answered all my questions as well as giving me the assurance that the Staples Service Centre would be able to transfer my data to my new computer.

    He explained the benefits of purchasing the Tech Support subscription and the Easy Care service plan.

    We need more employees like this man who provided such outstanding service from the get go. His warm welcome to the store, his ability to listen to my expressed needs for certain applications (Power Point, Excel and Word Processing, and the time he gave me to explain the various computer options was very uncommon in today’s business world.

    Sean also gave me the assurance that all my concerns regarding setting up my new computer while retaining important data from my old computer, would all be handled with ease through your tech support and through the initial service from your service department.

    Please acknowledge this employee for his excellent customer service.

  14. My wife and I are happy with the costumer service we experienced today with Nitish. He was nice and friendly with us , I like the way he explained , he was very efficient and polite.

  15. Matthew, at your Front Desk in your Victoria Store, was cheerful, pleasant and helpful. Although he was extremely busy, he kindly took the time to go and get the product I needed off the shelves, sparing me the agony of looking here and there. And THEN he was glad to assist in putting the printer cartridge into its “home” and sent me off all ready to resume my office work. Staples is definitely my “go to” store for many business products. Congratulations Jordan & the rest of the management crew for having the smarts to hire an exceptional employee.

  17. Today I shopped at Staples on Queen Street, Kingston, Ontario. I was served by Jay. He is a great associate, excellent listener, knowledgeable, friendly and truly working to serve. If I were hiring for any commercial enterprise, he would be at the top of the list.

  20. I had excellent print services for 6 copies of a 177p document including colour and b&w photos.
    Jeff at Dartmouth Crossing was excellent, price very reasonable.
    I also had excellent print service at Truro branch from Lisa for some additional added pages to this document. I was very pleased by the staff service and quality.

  23. Staples is my favorite shopping store, not only because my oldest daughter works there. The staff is very helpful in assisting retirees, like myself, dealing with computer stuff… and all my hobby craft needs.

  24. We, collectively in Campbell River are completely frustrated with our staples outlet. This store is a disaster. The copy centre is not only unhelpful but seriously under staffed and after my last experience this will be my last stop. I simply needed six 11×14 sheets laminated. I was told this would take a week as they were so backed up. Not only did this process take a week, but when I went to pick them up I was informed another customer had just left with my lamination and would have to wait for them to return the sheets to the store. I have gone again for lamination to be told “I’m sorry our machine hasn’t been plugged in so you will have to come back either later today or another time”. I have gone for copies to be told I would have to copy them myself or take them some where else, because they are too backed up only ho have the nice young lady stand at my copy machine and talk me through the entire copy. My thoughts were for the time she wasted with me she could have simply copied the 4 papers. Every single time I go there, other customers are standing around fuming as your employees all look at each other then one by one wander away. I and others suggest a secret shopper to take a look at what you are up against. Very very frustrating to say the least. As a local business woman I am now using another source for my office solutions.

  27. we walked into staples, looking for an office desk, we found one that suites our spare bedroom, I sat at the one in store, it was a right hand corner unit it was perfect, get it home and started to put it together and everything was the opposite as the one on the floor in the store, tad disappointed!!!

  29. had a problem syncing my i pod touch to my computer to transfer my music files after struggling for days I took these products to Julian at the Camrose staples outlet and he was amazing he knew what to do right away cleaned up some stuff I tried to download and had all my music transferred in no time our trip to Vernon on Friday is going to be great I will keep going to staples thanks to Julian.

  33. I give 5 stars to the Woodlawn, Dartmouth location! Friendly staff and wide selection of anything you need. I’m always satisfied with my purchases whenever I leave staples compared to most.

  34. My husband and I went to your 1220 Sequin Dr Coquitlam BC store Oct 20 to look for a office chair. I found one on the floor and I said this is it. I waited for 40 minutes for help and then this young guy looked on his computer and said we have 2 in store. I said great. So one hour later he said its not here its in the loading dock and we can’t get it. I asked to speak to his manager and she said “he’s right” they are on pallet and not available and to go somewhere else or go find it on line. Very very rude..No one else was in this store. I looked on line and nothing,
    My husband then called the Maple Ridge store and sure enough they had it no problem. Alex from that store above and beyond helping us. We bought the chair for $169..and it was for sale at Coquitlam store for $ 199 what the heck is up with that. I think you need to check out your Manager and staff at the Coquitlam store…service was horrible horrible horrible

  38. Steeles and Yonge store. Excellent service. Very helpful. The store manager and Isaiah were definietly extremely capable and personable.The salesperson that helped me with my printer purchase was very knowledgable and helpful.

  39. l purchased an HP COLOR INK Cartridge Wed. Jan 10th-2018 store # 84…and when looking at the Staples AD, later on at home l noticed that there was a save $10. when you purchased 2 HP Ink packs…the clerk on duty at the time led me to where they were but failed to let me know about the sale that was in the store at the time when l was there……the cashier also failed to let me know about the sale when l paid for it….No suggestive selling was given by anyone..not good….l will be going back to the store to buy the 2nd Cartridge…and l am expecting to get it at the price that is in the ad…..

  40. I have attempted to follow your instructions to complete your survey and find it impossible. Your instructions are adequate but do not work.
    I have also tried on occasion to reach my local
    Staples store and the calls are always cut off.
    Instore, you give excellent service…not so good otherwise.
